Rachel Lewis

Rachel studied Law (LLB) and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) between 2004 and 2008 at the University of Sheffield. She began her legal career at an American law firm in London, qualifying as a solicitor into their employment department. She then returned to South Wales to work as a senior employment solicitor at a large national firm. During this time, she spent 12 months on secondment to a FTSE 250 company, where she was the sole employment solicitor, advising on litigious, strategic and day-to-day employment law matters.

Building on this experience, she became the Deputy Director of the Legal Advice Clinic at the University of South Wales. In this role, she oversaw all employment law matters, acted as risk manager, and was responsible for compliance. Rachel also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). She lectured on employment law and clinical legal education, supporting the development of future legal professionals.

In May 2025, Rachel joined NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) as a senior solicitor in the employment team.
