Depression is a low mood that can last for a long time. It is normal for our mood to go up and down but sometimes life changes, worries or stress can interfere with our feelings.
 
If you are feel that your low mood is continuous, keeps returning or is interfering with life, it could be a sign of depression. Depression can worsen over time, your GP will be able to offer support if you feel you may be depressed.
