Nicola Phillips

Director of Primary Care Services and Medical Examiner Service for Wales

Nicola’s Career with the NHS spans 35 years. Her first 11 years were spent within the Finance team until she moved into the Primary Care setting in April 2000.

Nicola feels privileged to have successfully carved a career within NHS Wales and has been with NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) since its inception. She joined NWSSP in the role of All Wales Payments Manager, following which she was promoted to Head of Engagement and Support Services and over the last 4 years has held the role of Deputy Director of Primary Care Services.

Nicola continued to enhance her professional development in these senior leadership roles, being described  as a driven, charismatic leader with strong interpersonal skills who can motivate and inspire others to succeed.

She has a daughter, a son and one granddaughter and has served as a Community School Governor for a local Primary School.
