Neil Frow OBE

Managing Director, NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership

Over the last 20 years Neil has gained significant experience working within the private and public sectors. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.  The early part of Neil’s career was spent working within the UK Aggregates Division of Hanson PLC before joining the NHS in 2005 as a member of the NHS Wales Business Services Centre Management Team.

During this time he introduced the new Customer Service Excellence Standard into NHS Wales. This was followed by a move to Cwm Taf Local Health Board in 2010 where he headed the healthcare contracting and sustainability functions within the finance team.

He moved to his current position as the Managing Director of NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) in 2011, where he was instrumental in working with Welsh Government in setting up the governance arrangements for Shared Services.

The NWSSP was set up in April 2011 to provide a range of high quality, customer-focused professional, technical and administrative services which support health boards and trusts in Wales.

During his time in NHS Wales, Neil has continued to enhance his professional development and was appointed as a non-executive director of Careers Wales Mid Glamorgan & Powys in 2009 and more recently has been appointed as a non-executive director of the newly formed Career Choices; Dewis Gyrfa (Careers Wales) which has recently become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government.

Neil is passionate about improving the quality of health services and has pro-actively encouraged partnership working as a catalyst to improve quality of service delivery and customer focus.
