The Repeat Dispensed Prescribing indicator has been introduced as part of the Efficiency and Productivity Measures within the Annual Operating Framework 2010/2011.
Rationale: To identify suitable patient groups and improve patient access to medicines and make better use of payments to pharmacies for running the schemes.
Measure: Repeat Dispensing prescriptions dispensed as a proportion of all prescriptions.
