Sometimes we need to share your personal information with third parties who help us provide our services. When this is necessary, we make sure that any third parties who have access to your personal data have processes in place to keep it confidential and secure, and only use it in ways that you would reasonably expect.
We share your personal information with:
- other divisions within NWSSP, for internal reporting, quality monitoring and business improvement purposes;
- third parties which provide technical services to us, including third party IT platforms (including cloud based platforms), suppliers of administrative and support services and suppliers of other specialist products;
- healthcare professionals providing their professional clinical opinion on, and other third parties who are witnesses to, a matter you are involved in and we are providing services in relation to, or legal representatives acting on their behalf;
- public bodies, including regulatory bodies, and courts where we are obliged or permitted by law to do so (this may include the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Compensation Recovery Unit, and the Welsh Government (for example where Welsh Government policy requires us to request its consent e.g. for matters which may exceed one million pounds);
- Health Boards and Health Trusts operating in the area in which you work (if you are a medical professional and your personal data needs to be shared) or receive treatment (if you are a patient);
- other professional advisers with whom we are working on client matters, or to whom we refer our clients for additional or separate advice, including barristers and expert witnesses; and
- our professional advisors including auditors.
We may also disclose your personal data to third parties with whom we merge with, divest a part of our business to, or are purchased by. If a change happens to our business, then our new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.
