Kara Bowen

Kara was admitted as a Solicitor in 2013.

Kara studied Management Sciences at the University of Warwick, during which time she undertook a variety of Law modules and discovered her interest in the subject. She then completed her Graduate Diploma in Law at Swansea University gaining a Distinction, before undertaking the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University.

On completing her educational studies, Kara worked at a Claimant private practice in Cardiff where she carried out her training contract undertaking seats in Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Commercial Property. Kara qualified into the Clinical Negligence Department where she had focused her interest. She then took the decision to utilise her skills within the Defendant arena, joining Legal & Risk Services in early 2014, within the Clinical Negligence department. Her specialties include representing Health Boards and Trusts in relation to Inquests, assisting on matters within the NHS Concerns, Complaints and Redress Arrangements Wales Regulations 2011 and negotiating costs.

In her spare time, Kara enjoys playing the piano, listening to live music and walking her dog.

Kara is also currently enrolled on a Welsh learner’s course through Legal & Risk, which began in September 2015.
