Each Health body in Wales has a nominated Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) who deal with smaller scale fraud within each Health body. Counter Fraud matters arising within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership should be reported to its nominated LCFS Mark Weston.

You can prevent fraud in your workplace by:

Reporting any suspicions of fraud to your Local Counter Fraud Specialist or NHS CFS Wales.
Always following the financial policies and procedures that in place.
Reporting any system weaknesses that may allow fraud to take place.

Who do NHS Wales Counter Fraud service work with?

NHS Counter Fraud Service Wales works with Welsh Government, NHS Counter Fraud Authority, Welsh Health Boards and Welsh NHS Trusts. They also work with external agencies such as the Police, DWP, HMRC, Home Office UK Visas and Immigration and Welsh Local Authorities.

Can I report my suspicions of fraud anonymously?

Yes, you can report your suspicions anonymously through the NHS Fraud and Corruption Reporting Hotline and the NHS Counter Fraud Authority’s online reporting tool.
