Safety and Learning Advisor - VTE Wales Lead Nurse

Christine is a registered nurse (RGN), since qualifying in 2006 she has worked in multiple roles and specialities gaining over 18 years of clinical experience prior to joining the Welsh Risk Pool in January 2025. Christine has worked in the field of VTE since 2017, when she became a VTE Clinical Nurse Specialist for an NHS Wales Health Board. Christine gained local and national recognition for her VTE prevention work, including receiving multiple national awards. Christine became the programme lead for the VTE Wales programme in 2025.
