Success at NWSSP Staff Awards 2019

We had a very successful day at this year’s NWSSP Staff Recognition Awards!

Congratulations to the following teams and individuals:

Staff Engagement Group/Social Committee on winning the Wellbeing initiative award. The judges were impressed with the action taking by the staff to tackle the important of social relationships, building communities both at work and beyond and support employees’ wellbeing with  sense of belonging. Different events organised by the group include; lunchtime mixers, book club, Friday social drink and quiz nights.

The GMPI team were awarded runners up in the Working Together Category. The Judges commented on the excellent departmental team efforts in ensuring the smooth transition of the Existing Liability Scheme for GP Indemnity in a short timescale.

Daniela Mahapatra won the Leadership award. As the newly appointed Employment Team Leader Daniela was praised on her encouragement and support resulting in the growth of the Team. There was reference made to her support of not only her Team but of the Health Boards, and her work with the Healthcare People Management Association. Her nomination was evidenced by testimonials from numerous people she works with. 

Our Employment team won the ‘Team of the Year’ category. The judges were impressed with the continuous work of the Employment team and their commitment to, and embodiment of the corporate values. Also mentioned was their provision of an excellent value for money service, as evidenced by the increase in take up of their services.
