We are 15 years old today

Today marks 15 years since NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership was set up to drive value, innovation and partnership across NHS Wales.

In that time, we have grown to deliver an increasing range of services that keep NHS Wales moving day in day out.

We now have more than 6,000 staff, including around 2,500 resident doctors, and last year our revenue budget was £892m.

We process 95% of NHS expenditure and last year handled more than 29m items of laundry.

As we mark our 15 years, we are proud of our achievements so far and are looking forward to what comes next!

Managing Director Neil Frow OBE said: ““Fifteen years ago, NWSSP was established with a clear vision to collaboratively deliver shared services that strengthen NHS Wales.

“Today, we celebrate how far we’ve come. From supporting our workforce to enabling better value for every pound spent, our impact is felt across every part of the NHS.

“I want to recognise the incredible contribution of our staff — past and present — who have built a national organisation that underpins the NHS in Wales every single day.

“Their expertise, commitment and innovation have enabled us to deliver consistent, high-quality services at scale.

“I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together, and even more excited about the role we will play in shaping the future of NHS Wales.”
