NWSSP Supply Chain Logistics and Transport and Central Team eBusiness Services welcome Icelandic Supply Chain colleagues to Wales

NWSSP Supply Chain were delighted to host an overseas contingent from Icelandic Healthcare Services for a two day visit on the 15th and 16th June 2023. The focus of their visit was to implement the Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS) into their own systems in Iceland. Knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration very much summed up the visit which was organised by Stuart Fraser from NWSSP Central Team (CTeS).

The visit concentrated on the Newport and Bridgend Regional Warehouses. The two days were very much focussed on the benefits of the WMS for NWSSP Supply Chain and assisting the Icelanders decision making around what would work for them with an emphasis on system configuration, setup and implementation.

Louise Rogers BEM, Deputy Head of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport said; “Working in collaboration with our Icelandic colleagues was a very worthwhile experience, one that NWSSP Supply Chain has also learned from.” Going forward, NWSSP Supply Chain will continue to  maintain links with the Icelandic Healthcare Service, Supply Chain Team and where possible, support them on their WMS journey.”
