Maria Stolzenberg
Maria has worked in NHS Wales for seventeen years and prior to moving to the Welsh Risk Pool was the Assistant Head of Risk & Assurance at Swansea Bay University Health Board. Maria was appointed by Welsh Government as the National Co-ordinator and Principal System Lead for the Once for Wales Concerns Management System.
With extensive experience in configuring and developing risk management, patient safety and service user experience software to promote learning and improvement, Maria is responsible for ensuring that the fields and workflows for the new system will facilitate reporting across the acute, mental health, community, primary care and independent services across NHS Wales.
Having led the Swansea Bay UHB response to Health Inspectorate Wales interventions and supporting the Director of Governance to ensure that the risk assurance framework is updated and communicated, Maria is experienced at managing the needs of strategic and operational teams.
With a busy portfolio of responsibility, Maria enjoys her time outside of work spending time with her family and supporting her children through university.
