New NHS Wales CEO visits IP5 to hear more about our work

Last week we hosted NHS Wales Chief Executive Jacqueline Totterdell at IP5 to give her a first hand look at the work we do day in day out for NHS Wales.

Jacqueline, who is Director General for Health, Social Care and Early Years and took up the role in October, saw and heard about a range of our work at our Newport site.

This included the savings our Procurement team deliver to NHS Wales, our role in delivering the flu vaccine for the first time through our health courier services and a behind the scenes look at our radiopharmacy development.

She also saw the new solar panels at the site, which plays a part in our decarbonisation action plan, as well as having a visit to our surgical materials testing lab.

Managing Director Neil Frow MBE said: “We were pleased to host NHS Wales Chief Executive Jaqueline Totterdell for her first visit to shared services.

“We had a fantastic few hours hearing from her, talking her through the vital work we do and showing her some of our services which are key to NHS Wales.”
