Definition of Duty of Care
- All vehicles used for business/study/on call purposes must be taxed, have an up to date MOT and adequate insurance for Business use. All claimants must have a valid driving licence. There is no requirement to upload tax/MOT/Insurance documents for lease or salary sacrifice vehicles as these will be automatically uploaded.
- There is no requirement to upload insurance/driving licence documents to claim relocation or excess mileage.
- Annual checks, will be undertaken on all vehicles to ensure that they are compliant with the duty of care requirements. An automatic system reminder will be sent to claimants 7 days prior to the expiry date.
- Where duty of care checks are required, mileage expenses cannot be entered until all relevant information has been uploaded and reviewed as part of the Duty of Care Legislation.
