The IFS Wales programme is currently undergoing its pilot year, with all 7 Health Boards in NHS Wales due to transition to this programme of education by April 2024.
Prior to introduction to NHS Wales Health Boards, IFS Wales was first delivered to a diverse group of clinicians for peer review. Feedback was collated, reviewed by the national team, and applied to the programme. This constructive feedback continues throughout its pilot year with the national team obtaining responses from delegates in local areas.
80 faculty members currently populate our database following two faculty development days held in October 2023 and January 2024. These local faculty members are responsible for the delivery of the IFS Wales programme in their own Health Board whilst being supported by the national team. Delivery by multi-professional faculty to multi-professional delegates is a key principle of this programme.
